Item on eBay from China

    Hey, I've recently bidded on an item on eBay, a mobile phone valued 115euro. Could anyone tell me what import duties, taxes and charges I'll be expecting to pay when the item arrives?

    Well firstly I don't recommend buying a mobile phone from China but if your happy to go ahead then you would be talking (pun intended) around 30 quid.
    it all depends though. If they use EMS then you probably won't be charged but if they use the likes of Fedex / UPS then you will be more than likely charged.
    Always be prepared to pay!

    Ive lived over there, seriously they have a fake of everything and It will look real.
    Sometimes the fakes are very hard to spot.
    I wouldn't go there, If you do win and purchase it, google the model and 'fake' and you may be able to get some pointers on spotting a fake.

    it may not nessicarly be a fake something, I bought a phone from china that was there own design (well it was heavily based on a samsung phone, but it did not even try claim to be that phone)

    Similar money, did not get charged customs, was over 2 years ago though
