    Hi, just a quick one!

I know that to apply for my permit I can go and hand my forms into the Motor Tax Office, but I'm wondering if i can go into any one of the offices in Dublin. On the Dublin City Council website they list four offices; one on Queen St, one in Rathfarnham, one in Ballymun and one in Clondalkin. Can I just go into any of these? The Queen Street one is handiest because it's near work so it'd be great if I could.

Also, do the queues tend to be huge, like in the passport office and the like? I'm wondering if I could go on my lunch break or if I'd need to take an afternoon off work.

    Cheers for any advice!

You can apply in any office as they are all issued by Dublin something, I never read or filled it in they've always filled it in.

Queues don't be too bad mid month, but at the start of the month the queues can be huge with loads of people taxing vehicles. If you go in on for lunch and the queues are long there should be a drop box and they'll post it out to you with 14 days, just make sure you have everything required from the sheet.
