I have an M-Audio ultra 8r which come with the preamps with "octane technology", but i also have a mackie 1604-vlz3 with the xdr2 preamps, it just needs to be serviced. Inputs are a bit tempermental. Which preamp is better? Will i bother getting the mackie serviced, would it give a significant improvement. What are peopls…
