Advice on texting

This will be short I promise.

Met a guy last weekend. Swooped numbers. Liked him so when I hadn't heard from him I texted. His response was friendly and chatty enough not just a terse one liner. Should I just leave it at the 1-2 texts and suggest meeting up or keep the texting going a while.

Would he think I'm very keen if I started the texting AND asked him out?

    Thanks

No offense, OP, but texting is a mug's game. You sent a text, got a friendly reply. Give him a ring and just suggest going for a coffee, or a drink. It's direct and to the point, and if he's worth persuing, will see this as a positive.

Say you do text and don't get a reply. You'll automatically assume he doesn't like you. Where there could be dozens of reasons he cant/wont reply. Just ring. You'll save yourself a lot of hassle.

Has texting ruined our ability to communicate like adults? you like the guy, ask him out, its as simple as that, starting a relationship via texts is for 13 year olds, your phones primary function is to ring people, use it
