Looking around today at possibly doing a scrappage deal and ended up looking at the new Astra. Have to say that it really pushed my buttons, looks great and the interior definitely has an upmarket feel to it, the red backlighting was surprising and I'm almost embarrassed to say it but I definitely went oooh(mentally thankfully rather than out loud:o)
So has anyone actually done a deal on one? Anyone found a particularly good deal? Anything to increase my knowledge, bargaining power increases with knowledge doncha know........:)

Good deals are SC with Sport Pack

    SE with uprated alloys

    Elite with Xenon & AFL

The 1.7 Diesel is a good engine but the €500 increase to go to the next engine is worth it for power and performance.

Definately worth shopping around. I found that from 4 dealers the cheapest was €2200 cheaper than the most expensive and I haggled hard with all 4.
