when u get an airstrike or ac130 or pavelow does that keep ur killstreak going coz i had nuke on and i got a pavelow nd i had a 25 kills no deaths wit pavelow but i didnt get nuke

If its from a care package it doesn't count, but when its on the killstreak it should count

As far as I know there are problems with Sentry guns and Pavelows and they often don't contribute. It's just a glitch that will be fixed eventually. All killstreaks except those got from care package or ead are supposed to work.

although on afghan it has failed me a few times !!

Sentry, Pavelow and Care packages are the things that do not count towards your Killstreak.

Care packages, fair enough but the other two should count.

IW are taking the sweet " time about patching this.

Really? Well that explains something! On terminal last week I got a Pavelow (selected it when I realised none of the other players was carrying a launcher ) and my killstreak in the end was only 13 although I was sure it had been a lot higher as the Pavelow was swatting loads of people and I survived to make a number of kills after it as well

no the pavelow doesnt always fail , its very glitchy sometimesit counts and sometimes it doesnt.
Also care packages CAN count towards your killstreak , in games that have rounds e.g demolition ,capture the flag as long as you keep themfor the next round.

That wrecks my head as I had harrier and pavelow set up before and called them in at the same time and while no one bothered trying to shoot them down, I didn't get a new killstreak highscore :mad:

I think for the pavelow you have to get a kill before the pavelow gets a kill after you call it in

Its got two flares, and the harrier can be shot down before getting a single machine gun kill. On open maps it can dominate. Adding to that, its deadly in conjunction with a harrier strike.

In Free for all predator missile, harrier strike and pave low is standard procedure. If you get the pavelow it usually results in a win

On the 360 harriers are shot down pretty much immediately anyway. You'll get your airstrike kills but they just don't last like they used to. Too easy to hit.
The pavelow hangs around longer and is harder to shoot down so more often than not will get you more kills.

a Pave low is as good as 2 harriers. Attack Helicopter can be as good if not better than a Harrier on some maps.

harriers are an easy kill, if im in game then it wont be map for more 5/6 seconds. Pavelow will normally get a kill out of any would be attackers, but it too will eventually come down.

It should be obvious in team games that if all players empty one clip each into offending vehicle then its coming down.

My killstreak is only 13, but I was sure I got more than that on a number of occasions. Again, last night I was having a good run, got 9 kills and killed a further 3 before I found a safe spot and called in the Pavelow. I counted a further 6 kills with the Pavelow and got another with my pp2000 before being taken out. Checked my stats and low and behold my killstreak is still reading 13. Thanks to this thread, at least I know what the problem is now.

I was playing ground war with a very good team the other night against a very good team on domination. Game went right to the wire, organised pushes up both sides to try capture/cover, flanking, defending, general great feel good team play. Two people packing Stingers and me with a Javelin.

I saw four AC130's get taken down in under six seconds each, two each side. Harriers went down straight after the bombs dropped. Pavelow's got taken out coming into the map. Attack helicopter and one chopper gunner got mauled before they could do anything either. Really shows how useless those perks are against a decent well organised team, leaving things like precision airstrike stealth bombers would become a useful tool if this could actually be played competitively.
