    just bought a bike for a bit less a year ago, make that two bikes a year ago, so theres no way i can justify it, if there was an easy way to sell one and trade up i would but wont work that easily...:(

    Look, no point coming on here saying you want a new bike, putting up a picture of some bike porn, and then telling us you won't be getting it.
    Get the credit card out, make that purchase and save the economy.
    You could always cut back on the weekly biscuit spend, or even sell a kidney.

    To be honest, 1700 for that doesn't actually sound that bad for the Alma in the picture! Although maybe the one you saw in the shop was a lower spec? All I know is that they are a fantastic bike and after seeing one myself too I know what you are on about, really lovely! Not to mind MTB legend Julien Absalon rides one! Go on, just get it ;)

    Have you started XC racing? Perfect justification there.

    For anyone interested in taking up racing this year there's a three-race developmental series aimed at sports riders/beginners starting in about three weeks time.

    How much do kidney's sell for these days? I mean a healthy enough one....
