Slipped Condom

Last week the condom slipped off during sex..it was outside so the chances of becoming pregnant were tiny but to be on the safe side we got the morning after pill.

Today the condom slipped off again but the condom was not inside of me and most of the semen was inside the condom and it didn't seem as though it had leaked on me. I've rang around a couple of doctors but they advise against taking it twice in the same week due to possible health problems. So we're now at a loss over what to do.

I can't take the contraceptive pill due to health issues so the condom is pretty much the only form of contraception available to us.

    What should I do?

go back to your doctor and discuss your contraceptive options

First of all sweetie calm down, the chances you could be pregnant would be tiny considering you took the morning after pill this week, it makes your womb walls shed etc, so that would have to shed, the walls thicken again and a new egg be released so I'd say the chances are pretty damn low. As the above poster said go to the family planning clinic (they're the best for anything sex related) and talk to them, I'm sure they'll put your mind at ease.

Also I'm not in any way a doctor so don't take my word for it, go double check with a doctor.

The best thing for you to do to prevent the panic you feeel when this happens, is go to your GP and ask about other methods of contraception. There's more than the Pill and condoms. There are many ither options.

It will put your mind at rest if something like this happens again. :)

    Best of luck, OP!

The condom slipping off twice in week sounds like you're either not using them correctly or they're too big. They shouldn't slip off.

Go back to your dr and talk to them about barrier contraception
The cap and the diaphragm, spermacide and about the IUCD.

There are more option then just the pill and condoms and the morning after pill is strictly emergency use only and not to be used as a regular contraceptive.

Agreed. If it's a case that you think you may not be using them properly, have a word with your GP or local family planning clinic. Condoms in this country tend to be sold in one size only, which is less than ideal for the larger than average and smaller than average man. So if it's more a case that your partner is having trouble finding a condom that fits as well as it should, there's a wide range of smaller condoms available here.

Condoms being too small can also be a cause of them coming off.
