well I signed on in north cumberland street today in relation to job seekers allowance. and i tought i might let you know that if you are collecting jobseekers allowance in the post office then you only have to sign on once every 3 months. but if your job seekers allowance is payed through the bank then you have to sign on every month. I wonder why this is. but there you go.

Not like that in Clondalkin, I collect in a post office and still have to sign on once a month at the social welfare.

I think it might have something to do with how far you live from the Social Welfare office.

but my mate collected his as well today and he gets his allowance through the bank and he was told he had to sign on again in february so he's thinking of changing it to the post office instead as he said he can't even afford money for a bus in and back at €5 a month lol. thats very tight.

    well it is here still.

well i was just talking to my mate on skype and he said this...
he asked the welfare officer why HE had to sign on once a month and others only had to sign on once every 3 months and she said thats because you recieve your welfare allowance through the bank.
