    Have a 7'9 mal , and find it hard to pop up on it (fitness levels on pop up are pretty poor)
    im around 102kg, ideally what board size /volume should i be looking at?

    a friend of mine is 14 na half stone he started on a 8'4" bic magnum, it is like a jetty but great for learning on. i think big is better when learning.

    Bigger is most definitely better. 102kg/16stone/225lbs or there abouts will need plenty float. Aim for 10' I'd say.
