*MISSING PERSON* - A friend of mine.

Hi all

Thought that I'd pop this up here as you've got eyes all over the country. Alan is a friend of mine who's been missing since last Thursday 21/01/10. There's been a good number of us out looking in his usual spots around the country since then and no sign.

He's a regular windsurfer and is into fishing also. He has lots of spots around the country which is making it pretty tricky as you can imagine.

It would be great if you could all keep an eye out wherever you are.

Appeal to trace missing Dublin man

Gardaí are seeking assistance to trace the whereabouts of a 50-year-old man who has been missing from his Dublin home since Thursday.

Alan Harris, from Lorcan Avenue in Santry, is described as 5'11" of thin build with grey hair and a beard. When last seen he was wearing an orange and grey jacket and blue jeans.

His family are very concerned for his safety.

Gardaí believe Mr Harris may be driving a silver Mercedes van registration 04 D 36556. The van has the words 'www.surfdock.ie' written in yellow on the side over the wheel arches.

Gardaí have appealed to anyone with information to contact Santry Garda Station at 01 666 4000.

Unfortunately Alan's body was found today. I just want to say thanks to everyone who read this and kept their eyes out for him.

A very sad outcome.
