Underfloor heating with radiators schematic

I'm looking to get underfloor heating downstairs with radiators upstairs but am not sure what's the best way to set this up. The system will initially be run off an oil condensing boiler and then possibly a wood pellet boiler in a few years. Do I need a buffer tank for this type of heating layout? If so, where should it be placed as I'm thinking of putting it outside in the boiler house. If a buffer tank is not required how is the temperature regulated between the underfloor/rads?

Does anyone have any schematics of the best way to set this up?

Finally, we're planning on getting solar for DHW. Will I need a 2-coil or 3-coil cylinder?

    Nick,
I've this set-up in the house and I have no buffer tank.. all the plumbing is in the hot-press/drying room...

I'd advise on a 3 coil tank.. I've a stove with back boiler plugged into the system which is providing hot water and heating the rads (if I have it well fired up)..

Make sure you get an experienced plumber to set the system up.. ours works well with the rads only coming on for 10 minutes in the evening. This is sufficient to have upstairs warm enough even in this weather..

Make sure you put in plenty of insulation by the way.. over that coldest spell at start of January, we were out of oil for 3 or 4 days and house was never cold.. Getting your insulation right is the best way to keep your house warm..
