Though it does look like they just put down every new band in Ireland, a Carlow/Kilkenny band called MacroGrizzly are in the Meteor Best New Artist 2010 longlist. The longlist is being sorted by public voting until Jan 28th, so if you feel like showing your support then please do - just visit http://meteormusicawards.meteor.ie/competitions/voting/74/ , fill in the capatcha thing and off you go.

Theres a free bus down to Dolans Limerick (and I think free gig entry as well) when Macrogrizzly play the JD Live Set on March 5th too in case anyone from the town wants to go.
