Pardon me for being dense... but what stops you using the mp5 left handed.... with the stock as it is?

As far as I know, there is no such kit, or ever been one. Just tuck it into the left hand shoulder and away you go.

This topic reminds me of the story of a young aprentice once sent to the stores department for a bucket of steam...

teh gun out of the box is designed for a right handed shooter (im left handed) therefore, its not really suitable in its current format.

Funny that, I'm left handed and can use one of those fine...

    No, its really not.

Its got ambidextrous fire controls, mag release, amd the stock is the same on both sides.....

Its MEANT to be for both shooters, like nearly ALL HK products.

    firekitten ,
The stock on the gun is designed only for a right handed user. There are fake studs on the other side of the stock. You cannot move the sling mount to the other side of the stock. currently , i am using a plastic tie as a sling mount at the front, but its not what i want....ok ?.

leftyflip - I know what i have as im looking at it right now. I have also contacted airsofteire (where i bought it) and they agree 100% with what i'm sayin and are trying to soruce what i need.

i dont think i can make it more simple than that.

I was just asking people if they have any info on the conversion kit, not for people to try and convince me that what im saying is wrong...its not.

I guarantee you won't find one, use some other way to mount a sling.

I never said what you were doing was wrong, all I said was that I'm left handed and have the SD5 fine.

leftyflip - i have an CA mp5sd5, not an sd6. I also have a JG mp5sd6 and theres no issue with that as its suitable for both left and right haded shooter.
The Jg ones seem to be a bit more flexible.

    thanks for the input lads.

Use a one or two of these to affix the stock to the (preferably metal) receiver, with the loops on the righthand side of the stock and use a one point sling or two point if you put one on the front sight assembly.

Edit: sorry though these replaced reciever pins, they dont, onlt the front sight assembly, so maybe one of these in the receiver, and the other up front.

Dont know if the dimensions will be too different.

you really want to do this?

Take out the front sling pin and reverse it. Simple.

Stock... use a m16 stock sling mount, it will go on either side, and is buckled fabric, over the stock frame rather than a moint itself....

As for being designed for a right handed shooter. Thats simply not true.

Im ambidextrous, i use nearly any weapon i own right or left handed as the situation demands (corners)

Mp5s are bloody easy to use left handed.... REALLY easy. Absolutely no fuss to just change hands... its all that needs to be done.

I'd be keen to hear what the difference between the JG and CA models are... as both sd5s are identical...

If you have problems using it lefty, you'll have the same problems using it righie too.... clearly its not the gun thats doing it wrong.

I have bought a 3 point sling with velcro strapping and that sorts the issue with the stock.

Firekitten - you cant take out the front sling pin at all , it is sealed in there. I guess ill have to buy a new pin for the front and drill a small hole, then put it in.

dont ask stupid questions on 'why do you want to do it', i do, how difficult is it for you to understand this ?.
