Just wondering how much better on fuel a Ford Focus 1.4 litre (2003) is compared to a BMW 3.18 1.9 litre (1999), both are petrol. W.uld you notice much of a difference in running costs?

Both around 30-35mpg I'd imagine. Very little difference advice from minor tax and insurance increases on the BMW. A 318 won't exactly be fast though.
