    Where is this "mall"?

I probably know it by a different name or something, what building are you talking about?

Are you talking about outside there near the science block? I saw them at that this morning, maybe a nice sheltered outdoor lunch area.

Oh right I know what he means now, I've never called it the mall myself but I guess that is it's official name...I just call that whole area "outside" :D

Must check whatever this is out now!

oh ye, I knew that. It's like they have it mixed up though, the street is more like a mall and the mall is more like a street.

Pretty weird putting a bike stand in the middle of an area where no cycling is allowed no?

How did I miss this? :/

Probably because that area is nowhere near the usual computer student/gamer/C&S hangouter's usual areas of the Hub, Henry Grattan or the computing building.

No, I pass by that area regularly.

    And stop labelling me!

Yeah "the mall" is the name for all that middle dcu area although it sounds stupid.
Yeah it is for bikes alright, when i saw it first though those things for locking bikes up werent there, just the shelters.

Nice idea having shelter for bikes but im not convinced on the location, dont know who is going to lock there bike up there rather than somewhere closer to whatever building they are using!

i am aware of that! the railing at the other side of the engineering building is used or bikes, you have a bike railing outside the library and also beside hampstead. Also places beside nursing and NICB.
Ah its better than nothing but hopefully they will put up shelter for other bike areas.

The railing outside the Engineering building is used for bikes, but it's not intended for bikes.

And the rails beside hampsted are more for residents and gym goers.

I for one am happy for better bike parkage facilities.

Do you think it could be a new station for the dublin bike scheme?

That would be handy going downhill into town, pity the cyclist coming

    from town..
