    Hi Folks,

Any help appreciated...I was driving on Sunday and my Oil Light (yellow) came on. Stopped and checked level..it was down. I decided to drive down the road to garage and I had a loss of power whilst driving. Power came back and got to garage and topped up. Car is still loosing power for short periods of time. I reckon I have blown a turbo. 167k miles on clock. Any opinions welcome, and where can I pick up a second hand turbo if needed. I noticed over the last few weeks I was experiencing short power losses at 100km speeds or thereabouts especially when trying to accelerate...any ideas...thanks

If it's intermittent it might just be a split hose or maybe the MAF?

Since putting up my 320D problem on Sunday I have had a serious setback since. I was driving today and I could feel that the Turbo was not boosting and after a while I got a strange smell and followed later by my Oil Level Light coming on. I stopped and the oil was all over the engine and pouring out onto the ground..had it towed home. Do you think the turbo maybe gone or could the breather be messed up????or any other ideas..Thanks

320d's from around the 2003 and 2004 era are renowned for turbo failures....

    Thanks for that.

Speaking from experience it sounds like your crank case vent filter in gone, causing the oil to come out through the dip stick or some where like that.
this also could of over pressurized your turbo causing it to fail.
