Looking to book up a short break at the end of August 2010 but before I confirm just need to check when term time actually starts in 2010 at my daughter's primary school.

I've looked on schooldays.ie and on education.ie but no dates for start of term.

    TIA

It's up to each school. We open before Sept 1st every year, some other schools don't.We like to start a little bit early so the infants are thrown into a full week of school at the very start. Unlikely schools know themselves yet as primary schools are often dependent on buses etc. Normally decided Feb/March. Best to ring your own school.

A lot of schools won't decide until after Easter, doubtful any will be back before 30th though (monday) unless it's an induction for incoming infants. but you'd really need to check with your own school. Could you not just schedule it to finish by the 20th?
