Does anyone have a PS2 console that they no longer want or need?

I'm looking to get a PS2 console. I used to have one years ago but traded it in for an original xbox.

I've tried adverts and other sites but despite these being extremely common, I still can't get one for a reasonable sum of money.

If anyone here has one that they no longer want or need I would ask you to message me please.

Have you posted a classified in the "Wanted" section of Boards? Probably the most likely place to get responses.

Aren't these still commonplace brand new in game shops? Or do you only want a 2nd hand one.

They're not actually. I rang up a GameStop and they said the only place that had them was a store in Dungarvan, €140, but that they had plenty of used ones for €50. So I went with a used one (it has a 3 month warranty). Not sure if Smyths of Game still stock them.

Come to think of it, I got one in Argos about this time last year for 120 I think Slimline, obviously.

Buying a second hand one might seem like a moneysaver, but it might break in a years time. Buy a new one and take care of it well and you'll get many years out of it. I had one for eight years before having to replace it.

I asked in Smyths recently and they said they don't sell them anymore.

Argos definitely sell them if you go for the new option.

It would certainly be better than getting a second hand version.

Are you sure about that? Because they're not on the website or in the catalogue... I checked there intending to buy one but had to get one second hand in GameStop.

I have one that i dont need. PM me and ill give you the details. probably have a few games with it etc. In Perfect condition and was rarely used.

A friend of mine has one (it may be the silver one) that is still boxed, unused, unopened, lying in his house. He got it as a present a few yrs back and would be willing to sell it for a few notes if anyone is interested.
