HP Advisor / HP Dock launch at startup...How to Disable?

The HP Advisor or HP dock (not sure of the correct name for it) launches at startup and places a rectangular window at the top of my screen with icons and links to HP Advisor, MediaSmart, Discover Your PC, Customize Dock.
How do I disable this dock from loading on my desktop at startup? Each of these utilities can be launched from the Programs menu and I don't need the "dock" on my desktop.

i'd just go with uninstalling it from the add/remove programs in control panel.

Nope, I saw the post on that forum and I copied and pasted it to this yes I know i'm a lazy cnut

You cannot remove it from the computer

Start -> run -> enter "msconfig" -> press enter -> click on the "startup" tab -> uncheck the box with anything hp related.

Sorted.
