My friend in the UK (Brian) with whom I do the Cycle the Wight and he comes over for the Wicklow, has decided that as he is 40 this year he wants to do a Land's End to John O'Groats cycle. To this end, myself and some of his other buddies are at the start of training and preparation. We'll be staying in B&B's/ Cheap hotels, aiming to head off on the 4th/ 5th of July looking to complete in 7-10 days (I think!). To be honest, I'm pretty nervous at this stage - being so unfit now and all - but I'm hoping to be sorted in time. We have someone lined up to drive a van as well so that should be a big help. Any tips, suggestions, routes, places to see etc. are very welcome.

    Thanks.

I'd recommend doing a search for "LEJOG" on YACF - it took me a few weeks to figure out what it stood for but eventually the penny dropped. Anyway, that should give you plenty to chew on.
