So I'm in the market for a new set of boots seeing as my old ones are too small and give me nerve damage when i wear them for too long - I'm not sure....but I tihnk thats a sign of being too small :D:P

Anyhow been recommended Salomon Falcon Pro's by my last instructor. Tried a set on and quite tempted. I'm also a big salomon fan and pretty much don't know anything about other brands since I've only had salomon's and always loved them. But since tis a big shell-out (pardon the pun) I'm wondering what my other options are and what people\s opinions are ?

Well my feet dont do well in Salomon so I cant help you out I`m afraid. I have Technica which are lovely and comfy.

I would say go try a few different makes on and see which you think fit you the best and are designed for your gender and ability.

Thanks but not really. I'm not looking for a fitting guide, but recommedations on non-salomon boots that are equivalent to the falcon cs or x lab mediums

^ - oh good question I have had them for a few years now so cant remember.

    Would be similar to thesehttp://www.tecnicausa.com/site/skiboot.php?site=17&lang=12&idPrn=2&idN=9&idP=13

These ones are designed for women though so going from your user name might not be applicable?:D

opinion guy Really hope you are a big guy! The Falcon is a toned down race boot with a flex of anywhere between 110 and 140 the X3 Lab Med is a full wold cup race boot with Booster straps and 140 Flex

They are both great boots and I wear the Falcons but you really have to be able to work them to get the best out of them..And they will have an impact on your skiing if you are not able to flex them (not that I am saying you cant)

I work for Salomon but as I tell everyone the most important thing is that the boots feel right no matter what brand they are and if you where on the Falcons and they felt good they are the right boots for you.

Alternatives are the any manafactures Race series boots.

Thanks fattes. Actually I got mixed up it wasn't the x3 lab medium it was the x3 race cs (flex 130). I'm not worried baout the high flex - I've skied on rental 130's before and absolutely loved the high flex :)
