I'm having a problem with my windscreen washer jets. Squirts one small bit in the normal part of the windscreen but then small bits onto the bonnet.

Will try to unblock the jets this evening or can anyone suggest anything else?

There was some good advice on this here a couple of weeks ago.

Has this happened since the cold weather? I'm in the same boat with the same car. I've tried a pin and blasts of air from the tyre pump but its still just dribbling out.

Is it possible that the water froze in the pipe and then burst it, therefore its leaking?

I posted for help this a few years ago, and the advice I got there worked like a charm:

It turned out to be gunge in the water bottle. It took about 10 minutes to unclip the pump and unbolt the bottle, flush it out and put it back together again.

Cheers lads, it only happened on Friday and I've sold the car (new owner collecting it this evening) so I want to make sure that I can give him some comfort or do a job on it myself.

Didn't get around to fixing it so printed this page out and handed it to the new owner last night when he collected the car.

He was amazed at my honesty and given that his Dad is a BMW freak, he said that he'll let his father loose on the car to fix it.

Now back to being a 1 car household (brother's 1.4 Golf Sportsline, slow as f**k unfortunately). Will have to go back Bavarian when he returns from Oz.
