All beautiful cars in the pics above, and the comparison image says it all! A real mans car was the E24; the current 6 series' are to be driven only by diving footballers and lecherous middle-aged bosses.

What the hell is that lump of ballbag shrapnel?

that lump of ballbag shrapnel is actually a modified "Lincoln Futura" prototype, which they concocted for the 60-ies tv series 'Batman', and it's commonly referred to as the 'Batmobile'... ;)

The link with the BMW's is of course that the 3.0 CSL was modified in the early seventies so that it could hit the race tracks, and it was given such an elaborate body kit, that it was also lovingly referred to as the 'Batmobile'... hence the connection...

Beemers used to look soooooo cool.

Of course now they produce gems like this:

(My wife wants to trade her X3 (oh the shame) for one of them (even more shame))

Wow..the "E9" Bmw's are frikken great looking. Absolutely timeless cars; to think they were about 40 years ago....I wouldn't have minded spinning about in one of those!!! :D

    Still don't beat the E24 though! ;)

I'd say that what sitting inside a big scrotum feels like. :pac:

Surprisingly un-pimped on the outside, though.
