XBOX 360 with old kernel (pre-june 16th) in shops?

Apparently xboxes made before june-16th have the old kernel and can be modded, but has anyone come across any of these in the wild (around dublin)? looking to get in on the action while there's still a possibility of getting one.

If you get a shop that sells xboxes with a low turnover (like a local country electronics store) then you just might be in luck. There's a panel on the 360 box that you can lift up to view the serial number & manufacturing date of the 360 so you don't have to buy one before finding out
