Difficulties with Expedia

I had flights booked with this shower of jokers and after they changed my itinerary 3 times I decided to see if I could cancel my flights. So after a phone call during which I was on hold for 1 hour and 35 minutes and having been transferred to 4 different people in 2 departments I was told my booking was cancelled and I'd be refunded.

Next day I got an email saying my itinerary had changed again. So I rang back and after being on hold for 55 minutes I got through to someone who could hardly speak English who told me that I had never asked for it to be cancelled and that I should ring the following day to cancel.

I did this and was on hold for 30 minutes before being cut off. I rang back and got through to someone quite quickly. She cancelled the booking and sent me an email to confirm it. She also said the refund will take up to 12 weeks to come through from BA. - Is it normal to take this long for a refund? Has anyone else had a bad experience with them?

God, sorry to find you had such a nightmare with them. I booked BA flights with them last year and found them great to deal with, far cheaper than BA's own website.

To be fair though, although it's frustrating, the itinerary changes and slowness of the refund would be down to BA rather than Expedia. Still, no excuse for being kept on hold so long for quite a basic query.

I have had a difficulty with them only today. Last night I tried to make a booking not to get a confirmation of any kind and to be told error page could not load - or something to that extent - this was at the critical point of paying. We had few issues trying to book on the net.
Anyway ended up booking hotel on another site as couldn't wait any longer to discover a few hrs later an email from expedia saying here is confirmation of your booking!!
I now have two bookings for the exact same hotel for the exact same dates and no one will refund me!!
Going around in circles this evening. Now have to wait until Monday am New York time to follow it up as they need to contact some Hotel Dept directly.
As the yanks say 'go figure'.
