Looking in the web and boards and I noticed some people who made there own full metal silencers for there airsoft guns with a machine that spins a metal piece really fast and you carve into it,we have one in our school woodwork room
    Anyway
can you make your own silencer?
And if so how would you go about doing it?
    Thanks

why make a silencer when it would be easier to buy one? I don't see any benefit in making one. If you wanted to you will find lots of tutorials online.
A flash hider would be more interesting to make imo.

Not able to post links at the mo but if you search for silences design you will find some good info. You shouldn't need a lathe though, just some piping, rubber rings etc. You can buy adapters online.

That machine is a lathe, and an Airsoft silencer is basically a hollow metal cylinder with foam rings inside.... Unfortunatly I've never had the opurtunity to use a lathe but I think there was someone in the photos thread that made there own flash hiders and silencers :)

A wood turning lathe and a metal turning lathe are two completly different machines.

Yep,Alzir (if thats how you spell it) made a few bits and pieces including a silencer on a lathe.

I agree with MacAonghusa on this one, you'ed be better of buying one, using a lathe requires a bit of patience and I know my self from experiences .

Making a flash hider would be cool I think.

$12 + shipping. You could spend as much making one :)
