insurance ???? what do i need to have to tattoo in a shop ??

    Can anyone help me please ?? Ive been offered a space in a shop to open up my own lil tattoo area in 2010. Its not a tattoo parlour if dat counts !!. The shop prob has his own insurance but id like to sort out my own, Also wat kind of licences ect do i have to have ?????. all info is really appreciated guys !!!!!

    If you're talking about having a part of an existing shop (of some kind) as an area that you will be using to tattoo people, then I really think you should think again. You obviously do not know enough about the sterilization/cross contamination procedures and risks, and could be leading yourself (and anyone that goes under your needles) into a whole world of trouble.

    Agreed.You need an area that can be kept sterile at all times and a corner in another persons shop--beauticians,hair dressers etc could not be kept this way.

    its a room off an existing shop, seperate enterance ect, so yes i do realise the importance of a sterile enviroment guys. anyway my question was about insurance !!!!!

    Ok if its only the insurance youre talking about I`d say a chat with a broker or insurance specialist would be on the cards.

    Public liability,break in cover would be the minimum.
