Is this connected to George Lee and Dierdre Clune's appearance at the same time in Boole 2?

No, that is a different event, which is being run by the Politics society, I think they will be speaking about their political careers so far.

Ok, thanks for the reply. It's going to be a tough decision, but I really like this idea of a "Questions and Answers" type discussion. Hopefully nobody goes on too much of a rant at the polititians who have been decent enough to take part.

Hopefully they won't, but I wouldn't mind someone ranting about the parties that didn't send anyone. :D

Well I'm sure that George Lee can be dragged in if Dierdre Clune's company becomes a bit too dreary. :)

I was in the old bar one evening, and to my delight and surprise, Dan Boyle, Dierdre De Burca, and Diarmuid Whelan of the History Dept. stopped by for a pint. Dan Boyle claimed not to have any preference towards what any of the different beers, asking for just a "lager", while Dierdre sipped on a glass of water, and Diarmuid a pint of Murphys, respectively.

Dan ended up drinking a pint of Bavaria. That's where indecision gets you.

George Lee? How long is it going to take Georgous George to discuss his 'extensive' political career to date? It hardly rates as the Gang of Four's Long March does it? Two minutes?

As for Dierdre Clune? A councillor in a peripheral 'city' in a third tier EU country.....well, alert CNN, this is bound to be revelatory, edge of the seat stuff, especially if she spills the beans on....her affair with Dancing Dave?

They're partaking in an event organised by Young Fine Gael. Look elsewhere for excitement.

Actually.....why not make it a balloon debate by suspending a balloon basket above a gunge tank and the loser of each round ends up in the sh*t where they belong :D

The Green Senator would have to defend the existance and expense of the Sennad - tough one.
The Labour MEP would have to justify his place on the Euro gravy train and why Ireland surrendered the Irish Box fishing grounds (worth billions) - tougher still.
The Socialist would have to explain what socialism's done for Ireland lately - toughest of the lot I'd say.

THAT would be worth seeing. Audience heckling should be encouraged, if not mandatory. Its time these pols felt some heat! ;)
