My car is going in for an NCT in February in Fonthill... I was just wondering what the procedure is when you arrive at the test centre? is there an office that you have to go to before your car goes in for the test or what? any info would be greatly appreciated :)

Well in my area, you go in to the centre and go to the counter, might not be anyone there but wait a bit and then give your name and reg no and the VLC form if they ask. You might have to wait another bit until they call you again and pay the fee and give them the key and
    just wait again:rolleyes:.Alot of waiting!!!;)

in Fonthill, you just park up, drop money etc into office, go upstairs and watch from above as they test the car. have some not-very-nice coffee and wait for them to call you after the test.
One of the best run centres I've been to.

In Fonthill, you drive in the entrance and there's a guy in the car park that checks you're on the list. If he's happy he'll direct you to a car park space and you leave the car there. You go into the office and check in, the receptionist will take your E50 then direct you to the waiting room upstairs where you can view your car going through the test.
When your car is finished you go down the stairs to the results area, the tester give you the good or bad news and a report.
