Check the coolant level, if its low top it up.
If you still have no warm air from the blower it could be a faulty thermostat.
Check the oil filler cap for white or yellow gunk, this is a sign of water and oil mixing in the engine which is a result of headgasket failure, a serious problem and very expensive to fix.

hello dirty diesel, why do you mention head gasket problem, can this affect the heater?

Head gasket is a common fault on old renaults. I should of added that the water pump could also be at fault which will cause an airlock in the system and prevent the heater from blowing hot air.

I'd say its an alarm issue or else somethign isnt closed right.

It'll be an aftermarket alarm so would be hard to diagnose without knowing what it is.

Are the interior light and door open indicator on the dash going out when it's locked? If they are then as far as the car is concerned everything is closed. Handiest thing to do is diable the alarm if theres a key for it, otherwise it'll have to go to an alarm guy to have a look.

Does it beep for long? Or just the usual single or double beep that a lot of alarms do? The car wont beep by default so the beepign is comign from the alarm itself.

it beeps for a good few mins and as soon as the beepin has stopd the alarm starts yeh the lights go off on the dash to say the doors are closed

The alarm is arsed so. If you can live without the alarm I'd disable it.

The other option is to get someone to have a look at the alarm.

Simple solution disconnect the alarm. who would want to rob a 97 megane worth about €500
