I asked in the MIDI controller thread, and the newbie thread, but it seems to have fallen on deaf ears.

Anyway, I'm looking to upgrade from the NI Audio 2 DJ to a 4 channel audio interface, but the only one I can see is the Audio 8 DJ, and I can't really afford to shell out €400 for just a soundcard. Anybody know of any other (club standard) 4 stereo output DJ audio interfaces?

I'd stay stick with the Audio 8 mate - they are excellent.

I have the Audio 2 DJ and its fantastic, miles better than any of the others in the same class I think.

Are there are others you are considering? Whht are the pros and cons?

Could you maybe use 2 Audi 2 Dj's?

I haven't actually seen any other ones with 8 outs, hence why I'm asking. Can you use two audio 2s? Can't imagine there being anyway to configure it in the Traktor preferences...

When I do upgrade I'll be selling the audio 2 alright. How does that work if it's registered to you? Can someone else use it easy enough?

    Can't believe there isn't another cheaper option than a €400 Audio 8...

well you could pick one up second hand: http://www.gumtree.ie/dublin/95/52092395.html (its a whole set up of gear but you could get it on its own).

not sure what you mean, but if u mean the audio2dj is registered in your name, it will still work and registration can always be changed!:pac:

have you any idea what you would sell it 4?

(theres always the Hercules DJ Trim 4&6 also http://www.thomann.de/ie/hercules_dj_trim_46.htm but thats more expensive, and assuming you use traktor wouldnt work as well!)

Cheers, that'd what I was looking for. That's another option at least. I wonder what the quality would be like compared to the Audio 8. They're going on amazon for €250-300, so that's quite a good price alright...

I'd be selling it for no less than 80, it's as good as brand new. You'll see it on ads eventually, no idea how soon though.

nice 1! suppose it being better or not depends how youre using it but its half the price of the audio8dj! thomann do it for 200 with free shipping.

unlike the hercules the native instruments audio 8 dj comes with Traktor 3 LE and has MIDI capabilities and is half the weight.

could u please let me know when youre putting it up for sale?:pac:

I will do yeah, and I'll put it in the adverts thread. Can't say it'll be anytime soon, hopefully the next few months though.
