    I finished it last year.

Nit sure what you mean by "is it a good idea" though.

I can now speak Irish to a high level and I enjoyed it at the time. The same is true for the friends I know that did it.

What i meant by - if this was a good idea, was whether there is such an amount of work in it that i would fail my other law subjects. Are the teachers good? - any tips in general :D - thanks

The teachers are very good. It's a lot of work (but to be fair, my standard of irish was fairly poor before I went in) but I got through two years of medical school while simultaneously doing the diploma so it can be done. And I didn't have to repeat anything in those two years.

Biggest tip is to be sure to work continuously at it. I didn't and come exam time, I was under huge pressure. I did manage to get first class honours in the diploma though (both years).

Also, be sure you want to finish it before you begin. I had one friend who started the first year but couldn't finish the second year due to academic pressures.
