iPhone + Gmail contact sync = no images?

    I have just spent most of the day "fixing" the mess which was my Gmail
    contact list and it has now successfully synced with the iPhone.

    The problem is none of the images in the Gmail contacts have
    transferred onto the iPhone. I have searched for solutions and
    it seems to either require a mac, outlook or luck. :rolleyes:

    Has anyone here had this problem?

    Go to Settings -> Mail, Calendars, Contacts and add a Microsoft Exchange account (yes, you heard me ;))

    Settings are as follows:
    Email: yourname@gmail.com
    Server: m.google.com
    Domain: blank
    Username: yourname@gmail.com
    Use SSL: on

    You can then switch on any combination of Mail, Contacts and Calendars (you may want to leave mail switched off if you already have your Gmail account set up).

    You can then see your Gmail contacts if you go into Contacts, and navigate back to Groups. Let me know if this works.

    Brilliant Thanks!!! Worked like a Dream. :)

    I had the Mail and Calendar set up already and just needed to enable
    the contacts also.

    I was previously trying to sync them through iTunes but this worked
    perfectly. Images showing up as in gmail.
