    Hi

Thinking of going to Lanzarote in March, just weighing up my options.

Anyone ever been in March?! Is it warm? is the key question really!:D I'v never been before so is there anything to see or do over there?!
Also does anyone recommend any hotels or even better know where places are doing cheap package deals? I was on the Aerlingus website and flights are going for around 300 pp! Ryanair are slightly cheaper. So maybe a package deal would be better I'm thinking.

thanks in advace for any help:)

i was there in november, it was very windy (very :() so that made it feel alot cooler than it should have been

regarding things to do there are tour buses leaving every day, the most popular day tours are north of the island and south to Timanfaya National Park, we only had time to do the south tour which cost €30 and included lunch, as well as visiting the national park (which btw is a must if you visit lanzarote), we visited La Geria where they make wine, El Golfo which has a green lake and got to see how the lava has shaped the coast

but there are loads of others things you can do, you can take boat trips out to whale/dolphin watch, a submarine trip to the bottom of the ocean http://www.submarinesafaris.com/uk/index.html i did both in tenerife and would recommend both

Just a little bit of advice. I was there at the start of the month for a week and my girlfriend got Gastroenteritious. When we got to the clinic we spoke to some people in the waiting room and they were there with the exact same symtoms, they were also from another hotel.

Later that day, we heard there was 13 cases including ours in our hotel and i spoke to people while out and many others from other hotels had the same problems. Apparently it was something going around the island.

I have to say though, the weather was amazing 23-27 C everyday and it was really quiet which is what i was looking for.

Was over there in February last year and it was nice and pleasant, sunshine all week with a couple of clouds on one day. got good flight deal but ryanair weren't flying there at the time :( however Aer Lingus have slashed their prices now as am thinking of heading back this april. Got an apartment on daft.ie between 3 of us for 230 euro, not bad!

I've been in Lanza during the month of April,Jan & Feb. Our April month was the coolest (5 years ago). The water was lovely and warm for swimming and when the sun shone (on a few days ,it was great) but the majority of the week was overcast and felt cool. Much better weather in Jan & Feb over the last 3 years but your really never know what the week will be like until you go!

We went in March 2 years ago and the weather was lovely 23 degrees+. Driving is really easy on the island so we travelled around a bit. We stayed in Playa Blanca in the south it's much quieter than Puerto del Carmen but that suited us. We rented a place from www.holiday-rentals.co.uk
