when training in garnerville for the 20 weeks i understand that most days are 9-5 with exceptions to get you used to working shift.when your finished your day are you free to leave garnerville and return on time the next morning?
also when stationed roughly how many hours do you work a week?

Definitely dont go on that 9-5 assumption. You'll be up very early at times, and there are some evening classes to attend.

The first four weeks are a residential period.(Mon-Fri) If you have spare time, you can leave and go home in the evening, but you must be back and in your room for around 11pm if i remember...You can stay at home on a Sunday night, and return to Garnerville on the Monday morning though, but before 7am or something like that...

After the four week residential, if you are not staying the full 21 weeks up there then you leave and go home when youre finished at the end of the day, and are back in the next morning at the correct time.

At the moment, the days are normally 9-5 but then you may have drill for an hour at 8 and then you sometimes have evening classes from 6-8 during your 1st four weeks. And to be honest, I still dont have any free time really, because then you have to press your uniform, bull your No1 boots for chiefs parade and get your paperwork done as well as fitting in the gym.

Its perfrectly doable you just need to manage your time (and try keep tues and thurs free since thats when the bar is open.)

Am really looking forward to the induction this week.
Was wondering does anyone know when we do the 3 mile run?
