Help with recording.

    Ok ive got a mixer and a mic and cables and all but i cant get the computer to record it. I use a RCA y cable and put it into the mic input on the front of the computer.

    Hi Niall, welcome to the forum!

    We need more info. Makes, models, types of sockets and plugs, hardware and software spec of your machine, maybe some photos.

    I think the most important thing is what software you are using to hit record. You need a program that can understand there is music in the mic input to be heard. For example, reaper would be an option to try. What have you got or if you haven't, try REAPER.

    Thanks for the reply but I got it working today , I just knew it was something to do with the computer.

    I was using Audacity and Krital but I might download that reaper.
