How would you deal with children in the zombie world? I know the reaction is to take pity and help the kids, but are there times when it's nearly better,to leave them/put them out of their misery?

A friend of mine runs a Zombie survival RPG: In a recent session we found a barricaded lidl, with 2 teenagers protecting 8 kids. They have some supplies that if you don't get you'll have nowhere safe to sleep, they are slowly starving to death and the teenagers look like it's only luck that has kept them alive this long. What would you do?

    P.S:If you're reading this,"Hi Hugo"

Kids are a valuable resource and would probably be better equipped t deal with the apocalypse as time goes by. Humans are adaptive animals, within a generation we can completely adapt to a new environment. Also remember your ageing and will need younger people to take care of you as time goes by.

The species is doomed if we don't continue to produce offspring.

Depending on the age keep them on the leash so they know where to go and where not to because if you let them run around they are going to open up doors and let the z's in keep them somewhere and pray you have a child minder or something in your crew:p

Children are needed for humanity to survive.

I definitely think I would help them survive (although obviously not at my own expense.)

You'd think that but imagine you've spent time with the child and you have the option to save yourself or the future of human kind?

Children have the weight of the instinctive drive to protect them behind them.

Leave them move on, there is no time for humanity in times like these.

If they do however have a Twinkie... thats a dif story all together.

I think if I allowed that to happen, the children would deserve to live ahead of me.

Don't agree the child has far less of a chance of surviving. Also you're assuming the child would survive until he/she is old enough to repopulate the land. Again surviving this length of time is very unlikely.

As an adult my chances of surviving are higher, also it is more likely that at some point I'd find a surviving lady and if she wasn't too much of a minger we'd repopulate.

It depends on the age of the kids, can they hold and shot and ak47?

in all fairness, it would depend on the situation, your limitations, the practicality.... but i wouldn't kill a kid

Unfortunately some African nations have already proven they can.
