Was out the other night with a friend who is 20 years older then myself, had a great evening, you know, the usual, loads of laughs etc. We both talked about the age range of our friends and it seems its from 20's through to late 50's.

Some people i know would'nt have friends much older or younger then themselves, its usually around the same age. So im wondering, what age range to you hang out with. Is is your own ? do you find it difficult to converse or find common ground with a much older/younger range. I don't, I think its great to have such a broad range of opinions and life experiences, its informative and makes you much more open minded to how people live their lifes.

So whats the age range of your friends ?

Early 20's to Late 30's. Age wouldn't bother me too much with friends providing we got on!

That group is a stupid piece of shit. Stop posting it everywhere, nobody wants to join it to help you with your little joke, because it's not funny.

My mates are all 15/16.. because I know them through school.

But I can get on well with anyone of any age.. especially older people. That's one thing I like about boards, I can talk to someone who's 14 or someone who's 30-odd and still get on well with them without age being a barrier.

The youngest is 15 and the oldest is 24. Vast majority are 18 or 19 though.

I'm 24 and all my friends are between 22 and 28. I know a few older and younger but not in my main group of mates.

    Do boards friends count?

Most of my 'real' friends are same age range as me, 16/17/18/19. I have some older ones like 20-24 aswell.

Most of mine are between 23-40. I'm 22. I don't work well with people younger than me. Too hyper.

My mommy would beat me up if I had any friends over 18 :(

They range from my seven year old niece to my 73 year old Indian pal.
Most of them would be in their thirties, though, ranging about 4 years either side of me.

My closest friends would be within 2 or 3 years of myself but I'm from a small town so would have friends of all ages. I think that's one of the big losses and part of the problem with cities. You don't tend to mix with different age groups, or even people you don't share just about everything in common with. Old people fear young people because they know little about them and young people ignore older people because they think they wouldn't get on with them.

I'm in my late 40s and my age group of friends vary from around mid 20s ,30s up to 50 age group , and older .If you enjoy the company and can talk about any subject be it music , fashion , travel ,politics ,sport, etc , age is irrelevant. I have young nephews and nieces age 18 to 27 and consider them friends as much as relatives .

The ages of my friends are from a year younger than me to someone who is 73 years older than me. However my two closest friends are both a year older than me.

Most of my friends are 19/20 like me, (I havn't decided what age I am), although I play in a band full of 25 off year olds, so because of that I've a good few older friends. Not much of a difference really.

My friends are all in the 17-19 age-bracket. Though I've a good few friends who are 21 or 22.

I don't have any friends younger than that really.

Im in my early twenties and while I have lots of friends my own age, many would be in their fifties and sixties. I was largely riased by an older aunt who I consider one of my best friends, and consquently her friend group tends to be mine also.
The last holiday I was on was with a group of six people who apart from me were aged about 55 - 70. Some people find that strange, but it's kind of nice when sometimes life doesn't revolve around Buckfast and abrakebabra... plus, with this economy gone down the toilet, what choice do you have but inherit!

I'm 18. I have friends of all ages but most of them are a few years older/younger than me (from college, school etc.). I have a lot of friends in their 20s 30s and a few 40+.

I find I get on best with people in their 20s/30s for some reason. Hanging out with the oldies is the best :D

Most of my friends would be from 18 to mid 30s (I'm 22), although there'd be people older than that as well that I'd drink with in the pub or whatever...
I don't think age really matters once you're out of school...

I'm 20, most of my friends are around the same age.

I generally don't get on with people younger than me.

I have some friends who are 4 or 5 years older than me, but that's about my limit.

I probably have a bad attitude towards old people. I can respect them as parents, aunts, uncles, teachers, lecturers etc., but couldn't see myself being friends with them.

EDIT: Actually, come to think of it, I have one friend who's in his 30s, a mature student in my course. The age thing is likely to do with whoever I see from day to day.

Most of my mates are around the 24-30 age bracket... I have a few mates that are older, but would never go out clubbing or anything with them. Have some mates around the 18 mark.
