SME Details in Ireland

    I'm looking for simple and reliable facts and figures relating to amount of SME businesses in Ireland; the percentage of them in relation to the percentage of overall Irish businesses; how many fail within first 3 - 5 years and the reasons for them failing.

    Does anyone have any ideas where I'd find this without trawling through the internet for hours?

    The National Competitiveness Council does periodic reports on the number of SMEs in Ireland as part of their reports on competitiveness of Irish firms. Some of their publications are available to download through their website.

    If you can't find the info through their website, give the Council secretariat a call.

    The other option is to contact the Small Firms Association.
