The food we fed our pug from a puppy was eukanuba http://www.eukanuba.co.uk/en-UK/product/puppy-junior-small-breed.jspx but Oscar didn't like it when he got a bit older. We moved over to royal canin http://www.royalcanin.co.uk/my_pet/dog_products/breed_health_nutrition/pug.aspx (which he loves) or http://www.royalcanin.co.uk/my_pet/dog_products/size_health_nutrition/mini_dogs/mini_adult.aspx which he's on now. So I would recommend the Royal Canin food.

Here are some pictures of him:

    Hi op,

I feed my three Orijen, they are doing great on it. I alternate between the regular and 6fish formula. I also give my jack russell extra b vitamins as he's quite highly strung.

I would suggest doing lots of research when choosing a food, the most expensive/popular isnt always the best ;) just as one particular food wont suit every dogs needs.

This website is very helpful explaining the difference between good ingredients and cheap fillers : http://dogfoodanalysis.com/

I keep seeing references to that site, I looked it up a while ago and found the two bags of food I had here had completely different ingredients to those listed on that site, so I wouldn't have much faith in it.
Just look for Named meat(not derivatives) and not too mush cereals or chemicals.
Go for the best you can afford and that the dog likes and thrives on.
I also feed Royal canin, my dogs(not pugs) are thriving on it and there's no smelly farts and not much poop. :)
I have tried others and they didn't agree with one or both, or they wouldn't eat it.
