A Lady's Problem

    Hi All

Just want to hear from some people who may have the same experiences as I have.

Iv had several operations on both ovaries - my gynae has told me that due to the excessive surgery both ovaries could be damaged and I believe one of the ovaries is almost non existant due to severe surgery. Again, I am quite young (mid 20's) so my gynae has steered clear of the baby issue by simply saying only time will tell but has advised that I start trying sooner rather than later.... This is something I am not ready for.

I know loads of women have had similiar operations but would like to know if they have had any trouble conceiving there after? Thanks!

You can't freeze your eggs but you can freeze embryos almost indefinitely if you don't mind the cost. It might be something to consider whether using a sperm donor or your current boyfriend/partner - just make sure you have something legal drawn up which says you can still use them in the event of your relationship ending.
