Hey, sorry for the vague title but basically I'm in need of some plasticine and other stuff you'ld need to make little dolls and models to give a shot at some stop motion animation.

Now I know about using cameras and capturing good scenes but I know very little about making dolls and models. And so I was wondering if any of you could help me with two things...

First, if ye could guide me what all stuff I'ld need to make good (and flexible) models for stop motion animation.

And Second, if ye know a good store in Dublin where I could find the stuff.
I looked around in Easons, Reeds and a few "art and hobby" stores around the city center but couldn't really find anything that I felt I could use. Never knew it'ld be so hard to find plasticine!

So well, if anyone could help me that'll be great!

    Thanks!

I would go with plasticene, which you can buy in big blocks of different colour in K&M Evans, 5 MEETINGHOUSE LANE, OFF MARY’S ABBEY, DUBLIN 7

which is just off Capel St/Abbey Street Junction

For the background, furniture etc I make with card whch you can also get in Evans.

Try using liquid latex. You can mould it to whatever shape you want, and it'll stay flexible and easy to clean.
