has anyone got a rough price for forestry land per acre. Greenbelt says 3000 to 3500 but doesn't say the type of land.
    I'm looking at GPC 1 , uninclosed

unenclosed land only qualifies for unenclosed premium which is far less than enclosed land. i would say to make it feasible to buy enclosed land for planting you would not want to spend any more than €4,000 per acre. also it would be worth getting a forester to inspect the land before purchasing to make sure that the area would qualify for the scheme. obviously there is not much land at 4000 euro an acre but there are deals to be done. marginal agricultural land would be available at this price
