I love the ads though. Always been suspicious of this because 256 players has been the only thing used as a selling point. Its not even a particularly good selling point for me.

I didn't have the beta however.

I was skeptical also, but it works. I think a lot of people didn't bother putting in the time with the beta to get to level 10 and unlock the 256 person mode (I actually appreciated that they locked it, it meant everyone in it was at least level 10, and not 100 or so level 1 n00bs testing out their controls out at the spawn)

There are multiple gameplay mechanics that make it beneficial to work as a team and complete objectives, the game also punishes you for trying to go leeroy jenkins.

It's these mechanics that make the 256 player modes seems organized, even though it is over 200 strangers (crazy number) that have never played before together.

Biggest aspect that impressed me was the zero amount of lag. I don't think I experienced lag once in the beta.

Bahahahaha! I remember that video, still makes me laugh. Awl Leroy is somewhat of a legend on youtube.

But it's true about the team work aspect. I admit myself I was quite lost and unable to play properly for the first few weeks doing solo Rambo runs was common place, as was constantly dying.

Having got the hang of it (and still not knowing how to lie down) I was able to do quite well. Never did manage to get to level 10 because the Beta finished before I could enjoy it as much as I now know I could have.

I'm still unsure as to whether to purchase it cos of all the other releases I am yearning for (BFBC2, Red Dead FFXIII etc.), and also because I live in student accom I will be online very little cos everyone clogs the system at my premium gaming times. I'd say I'm 80/20 leaning towards getting it though cos I would finally be able to play a game where there is genuine tactics involved and mic talking essential.

Hopefully there won't be m/any young basterds talking craP and playing musak in the background when they use their mics

Don't suppose anyone knows how much it'll be in Ireland? I can't see them charging over 50 euro.. I'm expecting 45.
