Another questions about venues in Dublin

So, we're getting ready to look for our venue and am feeling a little lost. We're getting married in Dublin so want a venue not more than 45 minutes from the city centre.

I've looked at the websites of the obvious ones: Fallon&Byrne, Beaufield Mews, Cruzzos etc but none are exactly it I think!

We want a venue that will hold between 80-100 people, offer us a nice dance area if possible and good food! I love the room in Fallon&Byrne and I love the gardens in Beaufield Mews, but would love to hear some other suggestions if anyone has any

Was at a wedding recently at the Raddisson in Stillorgan/Mount Merrion recently, the room was very nice, kinda an odd shape, but it was a good setup with plenty of room around the bar area, and a nice smoking area outside too. Has lovely grounds for photographs. Food was awesome too! The only thing is I reckon it might be pricey.

I went to view the hall at the weekend and loved it. Since then I have heard a lot of bad reports about the food and service in the hotel. I am disappointed as we were going to book the venue but now I am having a few doubts about it. Were you happy with the food on the day?

I too am interested in this hotel as a wedding venue, but alas can't find any wedding reviews. Anyone been there for a wedding? Room looks amazing, and trip adviser seems favourable. Just concerned about catering...

OP I'm going to a wedding this summer in Liffey Valley House Hotel It looks gorgeous and holds up to 120 people so the size'd be about right for you. According to the site it's 20km from Dublin City Center but I've no idea how long that takes to drive in Dublin.

Have a look on weddings online. There are some people over there who've got married in Thomas Prior.

Hi I was at a wedding at the Louis Fitzgerald hotel , food was absolutely lovely, really suprising when you go inside its nothing to look at from the outside, but very modren, clean etc. My cousin got married and got a great deal for 100 guests, you get loads included in it like dj, finger food, rooms and more... worth a look. I am thinking of going there myself

Sorry to hijack this thread but am seriously thinking of the Louis Fitzgerald hotel for my wedding next year. Would you defo recommend it, going for the same sort of package as your cousin. Its very handy as both families are in dublin and would save them having to pay for a room overnight. Was the dj they provided any good?
