Sennheiser OMX 90 VC clip-on earphones €15 at Heatons (Waterford Shopping Centre)
Come with a teeny carrying box.

These have got very good AND poor reviews - so make your own mind up. Usually reviewers say sound is very good but some find they just don't fit their ears.
They were €49 from Apple at one stage. Just got 'em so haven't had a chance to give them a decent try-out.

OK - got to try them out last night - sound is excellent but the fit is fiddly. They come with 2 sets of soft rubber rings to fit different sized ears so I suppose that's a total of 3 sizes as you could use them with no ring. There's also a foam bonnet.
I found the sound very clear and not a hint of crackle or buzz at the high end. Getting serious bass would probably take a bit of adjusting the fit and maybe pushing them in tighter than I care to do - I like to have some idea of the world outside, traffic coming up behind me etc.
If you like your music LOUD they are probably not for you - I had to have my iPod Nano turned up quite high.
I listen to mainly classical, rock, folk and real country.
While walking they stayed in position without being noticeably tight on the ears.
There are NO fitting instructions on or in the box, or on the 'net - strange.

You see on the wire from the earphones you have a solid cylinder thing on the wire. The tube in that slides up and down to control the volume from the earphones. I was really disappointed with the sound volume till I discovered this by accident :p

Thanks pretty cool earphones for the price.

An inline volume on earphones is handy if the device doesn't have easy volume controls, the 1st gen iPod Touch etc. Some say it reduces sound quality, dunno about that. If found I kept moving it by accident, and I wonder why the volume was so low.

Good price if they aren't rubbish. Lot of fakes around, but I'd assume the ones in Heatons are the real deal.

The volume thing is handy enough - saves having to dig out the iPod from whatever pocket it's in, though for me it takes two hands to use - I guess the proper thing to do is to have it dangling in front of you and if you need to speak to someone you grab it and yank it down. Probably less fiddly than having to find, identify and use a switch.

I'm pretty sure they are genuine - the packaging was way overdone - real retail stuff, magnetic closures on the box, the kind of pretty packaging that costs more than any counterfeiter would bother with I suspect. My guess is that Heatons got an end-of-line/closeout deal. Think this particular model is gone off the Apple site now.

What Heatons did you get them in? Just wondering if it was a local thing or if it is nationwide. This particular Heatons has a section selling DVDs and CDs and accessories - maybe not all of their branches have this.

I got these the other day, sold on the "sport" part. I went out running with them and spent the time running pushing them back into my ears!!!!

50 seconds with no fallout was doing well!!!! could be my ears tho.

Funny I was going to say I couldn't a decent fit with the OMX 90 VC. The MXL 70 VC was much better. Want to swap?
