Just looking for a bit of info as im going to Parnell Park for the first time on Saturday from the west.

    1. What would be the best way to get there coming in from the N4 and taking into account it will be early saturday afternoon.

    2. What is the parking situation like around the stadium, ie handy car-parks etc...

    3. What would be the best places near the stadium for lunch/Dinner before/after the match ( match is on at 2.30)

Any help would be greatly appreciated,
    Cheers,
    Henry

Car park on Collins Avenue (at school) and at church. Stay on m50 until you see signs for port tunnel and city centre. stay in left lane and take exit for city centre. You will come to killester church on left on drumcondra road, take left there and continue down collins avenue. Park is behind Donneycarney church.
Re dinner there are plenty of pubs open near the area that serve lunch.

    What's on in Parnell today?

Anyway, Spiritoftheseventies directions are spot on but seeing as I'm feeling pedantic, it's Whitehall church, not Killester and it's on the the Swords Road, not Drumcondra Road.;)

A bit like when Ballymun Flats used to be referred to as Glasnevin Heights. :)

There is the little matter of Dublin v Meath in Parnell Park this afternoon, which is of course another great rivalry. The 2010 season is beginning to crank up. :)
