    Hi All,

I just had a technician service my computer after being stung with that "Internet Security 2010" virus scam. However, I'm not entirely sure that the technician solved the problem in it's entirety. The PC is now running really slowly on the internet. Pop-up blocker seems to be blocking pop-ups on sites where I wouldn't have usually expected pop-ups...e.g. Yahoo, boards etc.

The software he installed was as follows:
    AVG free version
    Malware bytes anti-malware
    Spybot search & destroy

Can anyone suggest what may be causing the problem. Web pages are taking much longer to load up than usual.

    Spybot search & destroy

I'd unistall this first of all.
    Malware bytes anti-malware

Id run this after again and do a full scann and see what shows up.

One other issue is that now when I turn the computer on it tells me that windows firewall is not on and computer may not be protected, so I enable wirewall, but next time I turn the computer on the same thing happens. AVG free version doesn't appear to have a firewall, can anyone confirm if this is the case, and how to avoid this message popping up?

    Thanks

Why do you recommend removing the skybot software? What are people's thoughts on this software?
