    Does anyone know of an optician that does eye test on small kids - 2yr old - .........:)

    Moved from Galway to Eyeglasses.
    Tbh, it's probably just quicker to ring the various opticians.

    Call to specsavers eyre sq centre, ask for Noel Meehan , best to call and book appointment with him.

    I recently leanred that opticians are only suitable for kids over 12 and that you need to bring them to an ophthalmologist.
    To go public get a referal from your phn and it takes about 9-12 months for the appointment or go private with the referal and it costs but only takes about 3 months.
    This was my experience in Dublin North.

    Not the case, optometrists can test children of any age, but obviously for a very young child there is a limit of what tests can be performed. That is true in the local optometrist or the ophthalmologist.
